DO Foundation / DO Something
All people, no matter their walk of life, are entitled to Dignity, Respect and the Opportunity of community assistance in realizing a life of self-sufficiency. It is essential for everyone to understand the seriousness of this situation, as at any given time, any of us could be faced with the same fate.
All donations, monetary and otherwise, made to DO Foundation will go directly to addressing the immediate needs of the homeless. Become involved and stay involved.
The little things that count and make a difference:
* Smiles are free. Homeless people are not invisible. :-)
* $1 can go a long way. Spare change works too.
* Give a donation of cash or goods to a program which you believe in.
* Bring awareness to others.
* Before throwing away something you dont need consider donating it to someone who may need it.
* Volunteer for a local shelter or food bank.
Jazz pianist, composer, producer, teacher and humanitarian, Brian O'Neal and the DO Foundation are on a mission to make sure every American citizen has a decent roof over their head, nice warm bed to sleep in with adequate food and water on a daily basis.
Brian slept on the streets of Detroit for two weeks to document the plight of a homeless person from a first person point of view. You can view his video 'Dreams In Color', which documents Brian's journey by clicking here.

I've been telling my family, friends and associates/business partners about this organization and it's sooo wonderful to see how Brian's song and video ("Dreams In Color") have served as an impetus to get people past the "talking" stage and actually "DOing"!!! I just served, yesterday, at the (Detroit annual) "Disabilities Expo", and today, at the Open House for the organization with which I am affiliated. (CAD [Corp. for Artistic Development), which, among other things, assists disabled persons with fair housing issues. I look forward to pooling the collective resources of CAD, The DO Foundation and PollyTunes Productions as we work together to bring more awareness and additional resources to those homeless persons in need. I salute you, April, for shining the spotlight on The DO Foundation...And, I'm excited to know that you and I will have opportunities(in the near future) to work together for such a worthy cause. Keep up the good work, April, PoetryMan, Brian & Kelly!
